Nobletex is a specialist in advanced technical textiles solutions that manufactures high end speciality fabrics, PU coated fabrics, PVC coated Fabrics, Armed Forces Fabrics, Luggage & Backpack Fabrics, Outdoor Fabrics, Medich Fabrics, Print Media Fabrics, and other technical Fabrics. Nobletex is part of the Pratibha Group of companies, having a rich history of over 40 years in textiles and manufacturing with approximately 3000 employees. The company manages the complete industrial chain, from yarn to finished product, and has invested in state-of-the-art facilities equipped with yarn spinning, weaving, dyeing & finishing, coating, fabrication, and material testing facilities.

Challenges :

Nobletex has over 30 physical godowns for the dispatching of finished products and handles the dispatch of hundreds of meters of fabric on a daily basis. To ensure a smooth dispatch process, the company requires accurate data regarding the finished products in each godown, as well as absolute details regarding the order and remaining order amount for each and every customer. However, this responsibility comes with several challenges, including :

1. There is a lot of information to be updated, which increases the risk of manual human error, which can lead to incorrect supply of finished products to customers.

2. The manual data recording process was complex, time-consuming, and inconvenient. It was also challenging to obtain real-time data regarding the finished products.

Solution :

Mobioffice has been designed to simplify the dispatch process for Nobletex Industries Ltd workers. With real-time access to data and the ability to record and store information on the go, the application provides textile workers with the necessary tools to streamline their work.

During the dispatch process, the user will be asked to select the following:

1. Physical godown location

2. Scan Type

3. Delivery challan book name

4. Dispatch order book name

Once the user adds the dispatch number, MobiOffice fetches the stock information from the Nobletex server, these details include design name, colour, grading, and pending order amount. Using this information, the user can identify the finished product to be supplied to the customer. Afterward, a Scan (barcode scanning) button appears, this allows to scan taka with different methods such as Mobile camera, Barcode-scanning gun or manually typing the barcode if non-recognizable through the camera or gun.

The user can scan all the takas one by one, scanning of takas generates a grid of all the scanned takas with their details such as, Dispatch order Number, Sales Order Number, Quantity of the taka.

Scanning multiple takas here means that all these takas will be dispatched in a single delivery challan. Once saved, these details will be integrated with their ERP system on a real-time basis. Also, home tab displays a list of all the delivery challans generated by the logged-in user, with the latest challan at the top.

Results :

The MobiOffice application has successfully solved the challenges faced by Nobletex Industries Ltd.

1. MobiOffice becomes handy, in managing the daily dispatch of materials of multiple customers from multiple godowns. Designated users can create the Delivery Challan for dispatching materials from their mobile devices themselves.

2. The organization can track and monitor the dispatch process efficiently and hence improves data accuracy and visibility. The application provides real-time updates on the status of each finished product, enabling the organization to make informed decisions about production scheduling, and quality control.

3. Furthermore, the use of barcodes has significantly reduced the risk of human error, improved the reliability of the dispatch process, also it has saved a lot of time for the organization.

4. Another challenge we faced while implementing MobiOffice was the users were more comfortable with a barcode-scanning gun rather than scanning the takas via mobile devices.
